Exams and Cleanings
It is important for your child to visit a dentist every 6 months to ensure that their baby teeth remain healthy and maintain the proper space for their permanent teeth to develop and erupt. We focus on making each of their visits a fun, comfortable, and positive experience. Our goal is to establish a healthy long-term positive relationship with dental care; we want them to love seeing the dentist! We recommend your child have their first visit with us by age 3. If you have any concerns about your child’s teeth prior to age 3 please call the office and we can provide you with a referral to a pediatric dentist who specializes in treating children.
Sealants
Tooth decay often starts on the biting surface of back teeth where deep pits and grooves collect food and plaque. Since those pits and grooves are hard to keep clean, cavities can start to form. The application of sealants is a non-invasive, preventive treatment that protects teeth and helps prevent cavities. Sealants are often recommended in children when the teeth first erupt into the mouth, but they can also be placed in adults that show risk of pit and fissure decay.
